Delete Account and Data
You can delete your Saykeeper account and all the data in it at any time. In the Android app you can do it yourself, in the web app you do it by email.
Deleting individual meetings
Open the meeting in the app and choose delete. The meeting, transcript and summary are deleted, and the audio and video are removed from storage. You do not need to close your account.
Deleting your whole account
In the Android app: open Settings, choose Delete account, type your email address to confirm and confirm the deletion. The account, all meetings and recordings in the cloud and the recordings on that phone are deleted right away. An active subscription is cancelled at once and is not charged again. You need an internet connection.
In the web app, by email:
- If you have an active subscription, cancel it first in the app under Payments, so that you are not charged again.
- Write to privacy@saykeeper.com with the subject Delete my account, from the email address you sign in with (so that we know the account is yours).
- We will confirm your request and delete the account within 30 days at the latest. We will email you when it is deleted.
What we delete
- your account and sign-in details,
- all meetings, recordings (audio and video), screenshots, transcripts, summaries, tasks, emails and questions,
- playlists, tags, shared links and your workspaces (if you own them, their members lose access),
- API keys, webhooks, support tickets and settings.
What we must keep
- invoices and payment records for the period required by accounting and tax rules,
- data in automatic database backups until normal overwriting removes it. We do not restore it into the service from backups,
- error logs for at most 30 days, after which they are deleted automatically.
Data on your phone (recordings saved only in the mobile app) is deleted by uninstalling the app. Questions: privacy@saykeeper.com.
