Recording Consent

Saykeeper records what the microphone of your device hears. You decide whether and when to record, and you are responsible for making sure that others know about it and agree.

The rule that is enough: at the start of the meeting, say that you are recording, why, and what you will do with the recording. If someone does not agree, do not record.

What the law says

This is a short overview, not legal advice. In sensitive situations (health, legal matters, employees, children), consult a professional.

How to do it in practice

  1. Before you press record, say something like: “Do you mind if I record the meeting? I will use it only for notes and a follow-up email. AI will create the transcript and summary, and I can delete the recording afterwards.”
  2. Wait for a clear yes. If you do not get one, do not record.
  3. If someone joins later, say it again.
  4. If someone wants you to delete the recording, delete the meeting in the app. The audio and video are deleted too.
  5. Share the transcript and summary only with those they belong to.

What Saykeeper does

Are you in someone's recording?

If you think someone recorded you through Saykeeper without your knowledge, contact them first, because they decide about the recording. If that does not help, write to privacy@saykeeper.com.
